Elizabeth McAteer leaves the nursery. |
|
In July 2002 Wallace Road Nursery celebrated its 60th birthday. The Head teacher at that time was Mrs Elizabeth McAteer and she had established the nursery as a place where children received excellent education and pastoral care. Her tireless efforts on behalf of Wallace Road led to the authority agreeing to rebuild the nursery. Elizabeth McAteer left the nursery in July 2004 after sixteen years as Head Teacher. | |

The digger cut the first piece of ground on Monday 7th June 2004. The back garden was demolished to make way for the new nursery building. |
Work was completed in January 2005 and the nursery re-located to the new building. In February 2005 the old building was demolished and the site was developed into an outside area for the new nursery. |
