Our Statement of Aims

  1. To provide a happy, secure and welcoming environment for every child. The staff will enable each child to settle confidently into their new surroundings and to be happy about leaving their carer.

     

  2. To foster a positive partnership between home and school in the promotion of the child's learning and development.

     

  3. To promote the development of positive attitudes to learning.

     

  4. To provide a broad and balanced curriculum offering first-hand experiences that cater for the needs of each child and offers equal opportunities for all regardless of culture, religion, gender or disability.

     

  5. To promote the positive image of the school within the community, developing and building on existing links between the school, parents and the wider community. To facilitate through play so children develop intellectually, physically, socially, aesthetically, emotionally, morally and spiritually and to achieve their full potential. 

We expect the children to:-

 

  • Appreciate and respect the environment and other living things.

     

  • Become a competent and participating member of the social group and community.

     

  • Achieve a positive self-image and to become confident and independent and to respect the feelings and rights of others.

     

  • Develop a love of learning.
